Abstract
A controlled release formulation which comprises a compound selected from the group consisting of organic acidic compounds and acid anhydrides or esters capable of generating one of the organic acidic compounds through hydrolysis together with an active ingredient and collagen as a carrier, said formulation being capable of exhibiting a predetermined release profile of the active ingredient. A process for producing said formulation is also provided.
