Abstract

A filter for the purification of platelets by dint of selective removal of leucocytes as extraneous matter from blood components, which filter has as a main part thereof a porous body possessing a three-dimensional reticularly continuous texture containing continuous open pores 6 to 12 .mu.m in average diameter and allowing substantially no presence of acute projection inside said pores.
