Abstract
Catalytic system comprising at least one group VIII metal compound and at least one amine hydrochloride whose melting point is lower than or equal to 25.degree. C. This catalytic system is suitable for the preparation of vinyl chloride by reacting acetylene with hydrogen chloride.
