Abstract
A thermal transfer recording medium comprises a substrate and, laminated thereto, an ink layer containing a sublimation dye and a binder resin. The binder resin comprises (a) from 60 to 90% by weight of polyvinyl butyral with a degree of polymerization of from 1,500 to 2,500 and a glass transition point of not lower than 70.degree. C., and (b) from 10 to 40% by weight of ethyl cellulose with a glass transition point of not lower than 130.degree. C.
