Abstract

A combat training system which includes individual navigation, communications and processing pods on each aircraft or combat platform. The pods use signals from GPS satellites to determine the position of the respective aircraft. Ordnance launch information is transmitted from an attack aircraft or other weapons platform to the target aircraft or other target platform. A target platform uses a trajectory model for the specific type of ordnance for determining the trajectory and the hit or miss of the ordnance. After the mission is completed, the recorded flight data is combined in a ground computer for reconstruction, review and training reinforcement.
