Abstract

A process for the preparation of photogenerating pigments which comprises the sublimation of a pelletized crude photogenerating pigment at a temperature of from about 250.degree. to about 500.degree. C.; depositing the sublimate onto a substrate; subsequently increasing the sublimation temperature by from about 10.degree. to about 100.degree. C. above the first sublimation temperature, and depositing the resulting sublimate onto a substrate.
