Abstract
A rust and corrosion preventive hydrous fluid comprising (a) 0.01% or more by weight of a rust and corrosion preventive compound of the following formula: ##STR1## wherein n is an integer of 3 to 300, each R.sup.1 is an alkylene group of 2 to 4 carbon atoms, an arylene group of 6 to 30 carbon atoms or a cycloalkylene group of 6 to 30 carbon atoms, with the proviso that the R.sup.1 groups are identical with or different from one another, and R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group of from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, an aryl group of from 6 to 30 carbon atoms or a cycloalkyl group of from 6 to 30 carbon atoms, and (b) water.
