Abstract
The present invention relates to an azomethine compound represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X represents a 5- or 6-membered cyclic amino group, R represents an aromatic group, and Ar represents an aromatic group having an aliphatic amino group in the para-position. The azomethine compounds disclosed are useful yellow dyes for photography, for various optical filters, for ink jet, for heat transfer printing, and for printing.
