Abstract
A primer composition of gamma-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane dissolved in an aprotic solvent having a solubility parameter of about 10.8 (cal/cm.sup.3).sup.1/2, for example, N,N'-dimethylacetamide, useful for bonding coating compositions to substrates. A superior bond is formed between a condensation cure silicone rubber and a polyimide film substrate when a primer composition of gamma-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane dissolved in N,N'-dimethylacetamide is first applied to the surface of the polyimide film and dried and cured thereon.
