Abstract

A process for converting synthesis gas to paraffin wax by conversion over a partially sulfided rhenium-aluminum borate catalyst containing an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal compound is disclosed. The inventive process and catalyst provide highly efficient and selective conversion of synthesis gas to paraffin wax.
