Abstract

Fluorinated cyclic organic silicon compounds of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, and R.sup.5 are independently selected from alkyl groups having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and n is an integer of from 1 to 6 are novel and susceptible to ring-opening polymerization to form chain siloxane polymers having improved properties. The cyclic compounds are produced by reacting disiloxane diols with fluorinated organic silicon compounds in the presence of amine catalysts.
