Abstract

In a liquid-crystal display device of the present invention, a plurality of first electrodes arranged on a matrix, active elements respectively connected to the first electrodes, signal supplying lines for supplying driving signals to the active elements are formed on one of a pair of substrates opposing each other, at least one second electrode opposing the first electrodes is formed on the other substrate, the pair of substrates are bonded by a sealing member by keeping the predetermined gap therebetween, and liquid material is sealed between the substrates. A terminal portion extended beyond the sealing member is formed on the signal supplying line. A driving circuit comprising thin-film transistors made of a semiconductor having a crystal structure and formed on a heat-resistant substrate is electrically connected to each terminal portion of the supplying lines on the periphery of one of the substrates.
