Abstract

A connector assembly for effectively coupling two pairs of connectors wherein one of the pairs is located on a first member, e.g., a chassis, and the second pair is located on a rigid second member, e.g., a slidable card/board structure, adapted for being positioned relative to the first member such that the one pair of connectors on the second member engage the pair on the first member. The receiving connectors are each adapted for movement in response to engagement by the engaging (partner) connectors to thus compensate for possible misalignment of the second connectors. The first of these receiving connectors is movable in two different manners of direction while the second is movable in at least three (and in one embodiment, four) different manners of direction. A component for an information handling system which uses such a connector assembly as part thereof is also provided.
