Abstract
A ceramic implant comprising a sintered body of zirconia and a coating layer of a porous sintered body of a mixture comprising .alpha.-tricalcium phosphate and zirconia, or hydroxyapatite and zirconia formed on the surface of the sintered body of zirconia.
