Abstract

Aqueous suspensions of a silica-based inorganic material insoluble in water and in a finely subdivided form, stabilized with at least one organic polymeric compound containing hydroxylic groups and with an ammonium or phosphonium quaternary compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein: B is nitrogen or phosphorus; A is either mono or polyvalent anion, while A.sub.1.sup.- is SO.sub.3.sup.- or COO.sup.-.
