Abstract

A pyrazolecarboxamide derivative represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.3 alkyl group, R.sup.2 represents a C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.3 alkyl group, R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom or halogen atom, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 may combine to form a C.sub.3 .about.C.sub.4 alkylene group which may be substituted by a C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.3 alkyl group, and R.sup.4 represents a C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.6 alkyl group, benzyl group which may be substituted or a group represented by --XR.sup.5 wherein X represents an oxygen atom, sulfur atom, sulfinyl group or sulfonyl group and R.sup.5 represents a C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.8 alkyl group, C.sub.2 .about.C.sub.6 alkenyl group, C.sub.3 .about.C.sub.7 cycloalkyl group which may be substituted by a C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.3 alkyl group, C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.5 haloalkyl group or phenyl group which may be substituted, an insecticidal and miticidal composition containing the pyrazolecarboxamide derivative as the active ingredient, and a fungicidal composition for use in agriculture and horticulture containing the pyrazolecarboxamide derivative as the active ingredient are provided.
