Abstract
Disclosed is a heat-sensitive recording material comprising a support and a heat-sensitive recording layer provided on the support, the heat-sensitive recording layer comprises a dye precursor, a developer, a binder and an aromatic compound represented by the following structural formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are independently hydrogen atoms or lower alkyl groups; R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are independently hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups, cycloalkyl groups, alkoxy groups, halogen atoms, aralkyl groups, aryl groups, acyl groups, formyl groups, nitro groups or cyano groups; and X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 are oxygen atoms or sulfur atoms. This heat-sensitive recording material is excellent in heat responsiveness and sensitivity, and cause little thermal head stain.
