Abstract

A reinforced flexible duct, particularly for transporting pressurized fluid having an internal pressure reinforcement and a traction resisting reinforcement. The internal pressure reinforcement is wound at a high angle with respect to an axis of the duct and the traction resistant reinforcement comprises at least a pair of crossed layers wound at an angle of at most equal to 55.degree.. A ratio of stiffness traction resisting reinforcement to a stiffness of internal pressure resisting reinforcement is between 2.5 and 8 with a winding angle of the pair of cross layers of the traction resisting reinforcement having a value of between 20.degree. and 50.degree.. A ratio K.sub.t /K.sub.p of stiffness and the winding angle .alpha. satisfy the relationship: ##EQU1##
