Abstract
At least one antistatic agent is incorporated into a thermoplastic polymer by contacting a polyvinyl chloride polymer with a solution comprising a solvent capable of swelling the PVC surface and at least one antistatic agent selected from the group consisting of 1-dodecylpyridinium chloride monohydrate and (R.sup.1).sub.n (R.sup.2).sub.m ammonium halide, wherein n and m are integers of from 0-4 and n+m=4, and wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 can be different or the same and are alkyl groups of from 1 to 20 carbon atoms.
