Firedoor constructions manufactured from board compositions containing calcium sulfate in hemi-hydrate or anhydrous form and fibrous additives, including pulped paper fibers preferably derived from waste newspaper, capable of being formed into firedoor members having superior mechanical properties and/or fire resistance.
