Abstract

A triazole compound having the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 represent a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a dialkylcarbamoyl group, or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may be bonded to form an alkylene group, an oxyalkylene group or a thioalkylene group which may be substituted with a lower alkyl group, R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom or CONRR' where R and R' represent an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, a cyanoalkyl group or a phenyl group or benzyl group which may be substituted, or R and R' may be bonded to form an alkylene group, an oxyalkylene group or a thioalkylene group which may be substituted with a lower alkyl group; R.sub.4 represents ##STR2## where R.sub.5 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a phenyl group, R.sub.6 represents a lower alkyl group, or R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 may be bonded to form an alkylene group, with a proviso that R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 cannot be dialkylcarbamoyl groups at the same time, and an insecticide containing the triazole compound as an active component.
