Abstract

A novel condensed thiazole derivative of the formula [I]: ##STR1## wherein A is a single bond or CH.sub.2 ; R.sup.1 is hydrogen atom, or an optionally substituted aliphatic, carboxylic acyl or sulfonic acyl group; and R.sup.2 is hydrogen atom, or an optionally substituted aromatic cyclic or aliphatic group, or a salt thereof. The compound [I] is useful for medicines for preventing and treating various diseases such as cancer, arterial sclerosis, hepatopathy, cerebrovascular diseases, inflammatory and the like. A process of the compound of the formula [I] or a salt thereof and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of the formula [I] or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active component are also disclosed.
