C.; passing an inert gas through the aqueous solution of hypochlorous acid to produce a gaseous mixture comprising dichlorine monoxide, chlorine and inert gas; an contacting the gaseous mixture with dry ice to provide a solid phase of dry ice and dichlorine monoxide.
