Abstract
An active matrix-type liquid crystal display apparatus, in which a pixel electrode and a common electrode line are not overlapped but coupled capacitively by a floating electrode, so that the pixel electrode and common electrode do not short-circuit, and a storage capacitance is formed by the series connection of a plurality of capacitors.
