Abstract

A composition for treating keratinaceous substrates which contains a cationic polymer having units of formula I: ##STR1## wherein: (a) R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently selected from the group consisting of H, halogen, alkyl, C.sub.1-6 alkoxy, C.sub.1-6 aminoalkyl, C.sub.1-6 haloalkyl, phenyl, C.sub.1-6 alkylphenyl, C.sub.1-6 alkoxyphenyl, halophenyl containing 1 to 5 halogen atoms, and aminophenyl containing 1 to 5 amino groups;
