Abstract
Needle selection is effected by an assembly fixed on and rotating with the cylinder and consisting of a plurality of horizontal jacks selected by controlled electromagnets, and an electronic control system. The assembly is provided with Hall sensors which receive magnetic pulses from stationary coil positioned around the rotating assembly.
