Abstract
A cleaning insert for insertion into a disassembled braebender-type mixing apparatus, wherein the inserted cleaning insert separates the two cavities of the apparatus allowing each to be cleaned of reside from a polymeric composition without permitting the passage of loosened residue therebetween. Also provided is an improved method of cleaning a braebender-type mixing apparatus utilizing the cleaning insert.
