Abstract
An image display apparatus includes a moving device for moving desired data on an image recording medium, on which image data and index data are recorded, to a read-out position, and a reader for reading data located at the read-out position and generating an electric signal corresponding to the read-out data. A memory stores data read by the reader and includes a first memory for storing image data and a second memory for storing index data. In addition, a display selectively displays data stored in one of the first and second memories.
