Abstract

A heat transfer sheet comprising a lubricating layer provided on one surface of a substrate film and a dye layer formed on the other surface, wherein the elastic modulus in at least one of the sub-scanning direction (MD) and the main scanning direction (TD) in said heat transfer sheet is 280 kg/mm.sup.2 or more, and the elastic modulus ratio MD/TD in the sub-scanning direction (MD) and the main scanning direction (TD) is within the range of from 0.8 to 1.3.
