Abstract
In one embodiment,the invention relates to a formed copper chromite catalyst prepared from a blend comprising from about 20 to about 80% by weight of copper chromite and from about 20 to about 80% by weight of at least one extrudable inorganic binder material wherein the catalyst has a surface area of from about 20 to about 225 m.sup.2 /g, and the total pore volume of the pores in said catalyst having a diameter of up to about 95,000 .ANG. is between about 0.35 to about 1 cc/g.
