Abstract

This invention relates to a photosensitive member for electrophotography with a photoconductive layer on an electrically conductive substrate and a surface protective layer on the photoconductive layer, wherein the surface protective layer comprises a ternary polymer of nylon or a multicomponent polymer of nylon having 10% or less in saturated degree of water absorption under 65% of relative humidity at 24.degree. C. The surface protective layer may have protuberances and hollows thereon. The surface protective layer may further comprises an inorganic layer on the photoconductive layer.
