Abstract

The present invention is based on the critically important feature of providing a left-right parallel arranged linear motor-based conveying system in which the upper surfaces of the guide rails do double duty as providing the rolling surfaces for the wheel pairs, and also as being secondary (reaction) conductor surfaces for the linear motors, and the linear motors are spaced closely above the upper surfaces of the guide rails by a predetermined clearance.
