Abstract
A fluid coupling apparatus comprises a torque convertor and a locking clutch having a torsion damper. The coupling plate which couples the torsion damper to a coupling element of the clutch, arranged to act as a piston, is provided with two sets of circumferential tongues, with the tongues of at least one of these sets each having a slight, wave-shaped, axial deformation.
