Abstract
A new compound, which we have named 'Leualacin' has the formula (I): ##STR1## and may be prepared by cultivation of a microorganism of the genus Hapsidospora, especially Hapsidospora irregularis. The compound may be used for the treatment and prophylaxis of cardiovascular diseases and disorders, especially hypertension.
