Abstract

The vehicle comprises a vehicle body, propulsion units whereby the body bears against the ground by applying support forces thereto that can be represented by support parameters, propulsion unit displacement actuators for displacing the propulsion units relative to the vehicle body. Support signals representative of the support parameters are used by safety controls to control the propulsion unit displacement actuators to improve vehicle safety. The invention is particularly applicable to the nuclear industry.
