Abstract

Novel compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is hexahydrobenzoyl, isovaleryl or 2-methylbutyryl, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The novel compounds designated as Trienomycins A, B and C are produced by culturing a microorganism belonging to genus Streptomyces, specifically Streptomyces sp. 82-16 FERM BP-939 in a medium, accumulating the new compounds in the medium and isolating the new compounds therefrom, and if required converted to a salt thereof. These compounds have antitumor activity and cytocidal activity.
