Abstract
A quaternary ammonium salt of the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 represent each ##STR2## or an alkyl group having one to four carbon atoms provided that at least of them is ##STR3## wherein R.sub.5 represents an alkyl or alkenyl group having four to 22 carbon atoms, and R.sub.6 represents an alkyl or alkenyl group having two to 20 carbon atoms; R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represent each an alkyl group having one to four carbon atoms or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OH; and X.sup..crclbar. represents a counter anion: is an effective miticide and causes no chemical damage to fruit trees and vegetables.
