Abstract

Organic pigments selected from the diketopyrrolopyrrole, azo, isoindolinone and isoindoline series, which pigments consist of 50% by weight of platelets which are from 5 to 50 .mu.m long, 2 to 50 .mu.m wide and 0.01 to 5 .mu.m thick, with the proviso that the ratios of length:thickness and width:thickness must be at least 3. The pigments in platelet form are excellently suited to producing effect colorations in high molecular weight organic material and in cosmetic products.
