Abstract

A catching apparatus has a body to which an open ended inflatable cylindrical tube is affixed, for sealingly catching a fluid filled object. The fluid filled object is caught by the surface of the tube when air is supplied to the space between the tube and the body. An inflation limiting member is provided in a part of an area in which the tube inflates, in order to limit the inflation of the tube to a desired region.
