Abstract

A ferrocene derivatives represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## can be a useful ligand to metals with Lewis acidity and is used as a catalyst for asymmetric synthesis with good enantioselectivety. This ferrocene derivatives is synthesized from a novel haloferrocene derivative represented by formula (II) and the haloferrocene derivative is synthesized from a novel ferrocene derivative represented by formula (III).
