Abstract
A method of degrading halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbons is disclosed comprising incubating microorganisms capable of degrading halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbons by an aromatic degradative pathway together with the halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbons under conditions such that said aromatic degradative pathway is active.
