Abstract
Silver halide photographic material having a hydrophilic colloidal layer that contains at least one cyanine dye with a 3H-pyrolopyridine, 4H-thienopyrrole, 6H-thienopyrrole, 4H-furopyrrole or 6H-furopyrrole nucleus which has in its dye molecule at least two acid groups or at least two substituents each having at least one --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OR group (where R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group).
