Abstract
An oriented polyethylene film with an excellent moistureproofness and optical property is provided in which the degree of crosslinking is uniform or decreases inwardly across the thickness of the film, and which consists of a composition comprising (A) 50 to 90% by weight of polyethylene with a density of at least 0.935 g/cm.sup.3 and a high load melt index to melt index ratio of at most 100 and (B) 50 to 10% by weight of a petroleum resin or linear low density polyethylene.
