Abstract

The invention provides nitromethylene compounds of general formula ##STR1## wherein n is 2, 3, or 4, R.sup.1 is an optionally substituted 3-pyridyl group, each R.sup.2 is independently selected from an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group or a hydrogen atom, and R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom or an alkylcarbonyl group, processes for their preparation, and their use as pesticides, particularly insecticides.
