Abstract

Novel 5-(pyrazol-1-yl)-benzoic acid-thiolesters of the formula I have good selective-herbicidal action in pre- and postemergent application. They also inhibit plant growth. The esters correspond to formula I ##STR1## wherein X is hydrogen, halogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl
