Abstract

There is disclosed a process for producing polyorganosiloxanes, comprising that an organosiloxane having a structural unit represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## (in which R.sup.1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent organic group; and n represents an integer of 0 tp 3) is subjected to emulsion polymerization in an aqueous medium in the presence of an organic sulfonic acid and a trihalogenated acetic acid.
