Abstract

A triazole derivative represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an acetyl group, a naphthylmethyl group, an anthrylmethyl group or a group of the formula ##STR2## wherein X, Y and Z are the same or different and each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a lower alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a hydroxyl group, a nitro group, a trifluoromethyl group, a cyano group or a benzyloxy group, and R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom or an acetyl group, and R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom, an acetyl group or a group of the formula ##STR3## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are as defined above, are useful as the inhibitors of lipid peroxidation.
