Abstract

Ketene dimers of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently of one another denote an alkyl or alkenyl radical each of which has at least 8 C atoms, a cycloalkyl radical having at least 6 C atoms or an aryl or aralkyl radical are used for the treatment of wool and synthetic polyamide fibres.
