Abstract
The present invention relates to an infrared absorbent composition comprising at least one of the metal complex compounds represented by formulae (I) or (II): ##STR1## wherein [Cat] represents a cation necessary for neutralizing the complex; n represents 1 or 2; M represents Cu, Co, Ni, Pd, or Pt; and R represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group; and two R's in the same ligand may combine with each other to form a ring.
