Abstract

Am impact-absorbing pad includes a plurality of parallel, elongated, individually sealed hollow pneumatic tubes with coextensive webbing. Each tube includes opposing lengthwise interior ridges. Upon compression of a tube, the trapped air is compressed and the ridges contact each other, resisting compression and pressing outwardly to spread the force of impact.
